Eighth in $7,000 K.C. Cup at I-70 Speedway
(October
12, 2024) The
Lucas Oil MLRA Series wrapped up their 2024 campaign with a pair
of $7,000 to win programs on October 10-11 at I-70 Speedway in Odessa,
Missouri and Tri-City Speedway in Granite City, Illinois. On Thursday
night at I-70 in the 'K.C. Cup,' Gordy Gundaker placed fifth in
his heat race before moving up to finish eighth in the 30-lap headliner.
At Granite City on Friday evening, Gordy ran third in his heat race,
but overheating woes in the 30-lapper dropped the St. Charles, Missouri
ace to a disappointing eleventh place showing. Despite not competing
in all of the MLRA events, Gordy wound up tenth in the final series

Fall Nationals Lid Lifter
(October
4, 2024) Due
to one of his best friend's wedding, Gordy Gundaker competed in
only one event over the weekend on Thursday evening, October 3 at
the pristine Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Missouri. Gordy laid
down the twelfth quickest lap in Group A during Lucas Oil MLRA Series
qualifying prior to running sixth in his heat race. Following a
third place effort in his B-Main, Gordy picked off twelve competitors
during the $5,000 to win main event to land in the ninth finishing

Gundaker Runner-Up in Lone Event of
Weekend at Granite City!

21, 2024) In
his lone event of the weekend, Gordy Gundaker was in action on Friday
night, September 20 at Tri-City Speedway in Granite City, Illinois.
With a $2,000 payday up for grabs in the DIRTcar Super Late Model
show, Gordy timed in fourth fastest overall during qualifying prior
to securing a heat race triumph. After starting the 25-lap feature
from the outside of the front row, Gordy eventually finished right
where he started... in the second spot behind only victor Blaze

Memorial Finale!

2, 2024) A lucrative
Labor Day holiday weekend greeted drivers racing with the Lucas
Oil MLRA Series, as a trio of events in the Show-Me State were held
from August 30-September 1. Up first were a pair of races at the
pristine Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Missouri that made up
the annual 'Ron Jenkins Memorial.' Gordy Gundaker ran fifth in his
loaded heat race on Friday night prior to picking off six competitors
during the 30-lap feature on his way to an eleventh place showing
in the $7,000 to win affair. With a $12,000 winner's check on the
line on Saturday evening, Gordy placed second in his heat race before
landing on the podium in third after forty green flag circuits behind
only victory Tony Jackson, Jr. and runner-up Dillon McCowan!
The triple shot then wrapped up on Sunday with a stop
to Moberly Motorsports Park in Moberly, Missouri. A $10,000 first
place prize was up for grabs in the annual running of the 'Wiener
Nationals.' Gordy won his heat race in preliminary action prior
to winding up seventh in the 30-lapper. The St. Charles, Missouri
ace currently finds himself fourth in the latest version of the

Gundaker Follows MLRA Tour to Lakeside
Speedway
(August
25, 2024) With
last night's Lucas Oil MLRA Series showdown at I-70 (MO) Motorsports
Park nixed by inclement weather, the #11 team competed in only one
event over the weekend on Friday, August 23 at Lakeside Speedway
in Kansas City, Kansas. A total of 23 MLRA competitors signed into
the pit area to do battle in the $5,000 to win program. Gordy Gundaker
knocked down the tenth quickest lap overall during qualifying prior
to placing fifth in his heat race. After starting the 30-lap feature
from the inside of the seventh row, Gordy eventually finished right
where he started... in the thirteenth position. Full results from

Gordy Gundaker Competes in Highland's
Beat the Heat 40
(August
15, 2024) Gordy
Gundaker traveled to Highland Speedway in Highland, Illinois on
Wednesday night, August 14 for the 'Beat the Heat 40.' The World
of Outlaws CASE Construction Late Model Series presided over the
action and Gordy started the evening by laying down the thirteenth
quickest lap in Group B during the qualifying session. After finishing
sixth in his heat race and second in his B-Main, Gordy rolled off
from the outside of the tenth row in the $10,000 to win main event.
At the completion of 40 green flag circuits in the headliner, the
St. Charles, Missouri ace was paid for a twenty-second place performance.

Gundaker Transfers into Rain-Shortened
$50,000 USA Nationals
(August
4, 2024) Gordy
Gundaker Racing (GGR) ventured north to the renowned Cedar Lake
Speedway in New Richmond, Wisconsin from August 1-3 for the 37th
Annual 'USA Nationals.' After unfortunately missing out on the pair
of $6,000 to win preliminary features on Friday and finishing seventh
in the F.A.N.S. Fund Dash, Gordy Gundaker had a much better showing
in the finale on Saturday evening in the Badger State.
Gordy advanced to fifth in his Last Chance Showdown and later grabbed
the second and final transfer spot through the Last Chance Qualifier.
The St. Charles, Missouri ace then rolled off from the outside of
the twelfth row in the $50,000 to win 'USA Nationals' and ultimately
wound up twenty-eighth in the final finishing order in the 100-lap
headliner, which was cut short after only 56 circuits due to rain.

Gordy Gundaker Grabs Top Ten in Prairie
Dirt Showdown

Gundaker and his #11 team invaded Fairbury Speedway in downtown
Fairbury, Illinois from July 24-27. The action packed stretch of
racing at #FALS began on Wednesday night with a $20,000 to win Castrol
FloRacing Night in America Series program. Gordy placed ninth in
his loaded heat race and decided to scratch from his B-Main. Unfortunately,
he was unable to make the start in the 50-lap feature that was won
by Ricky Thornton, Jr.
The World of Outlaws CASE Construction Late Model Series then roared
into Fairbury over the weekend to preside over the 34th edition
of the 'Prairie Dirt Classic.' On Friday night, Gordy timed in fourteenth
fastest in Group B during qualifying and later finished eighth in
his $5,000 to win 'Prairie Dirt Showdown' feature. With a whopping
$50,000 top prize up for grabs in Saturday's PDC, Gordy narrowly
missed out on a coveted transfer spot into the 100-lap crown jewel
headliner after running fourth in his Last Chance Showdown and second
in the 'Prairie Dirt Shootout' for non-qualifiers. Complete results

Gundaker Returns to Action in Doubleheader
at I-55 & Quincy
(July
22, 2024) The
Gordy Gundaker Racing (GGR) team returned to racing action on July
20-21 in a pair of $5,000 to win MARS Racing Series battles in the
states of Missouri and Illinois. On Saturday night on a rugged racing
surface at Federated Raceway at I-55 in Pevely, Missouri, Gordy
Gundaker knocked down the quickest time in Group A during the qualifying
session and later won his heat race to earn the pole position for
the 40-lap feature. Unfortunately, Gordy pulled off the racing surface
while running in the sixth position and was ultimately paid for
a thirteenth place showing. At Adams County Speedway in Quincy,
Illinois on Sunday evening, Gordy ran fourth in his heat race and
later wound up twentieth in the final rundown of the 40-lapper.

Gordy Gundaker's Weekend Cut Short
by Mechanical Woes...

Gundaker competed in a pair of $10,000 to win DIRTcar Summer Nationals
showdowns over the June 14-15 weekend at Tri-City Speedway in Granite
City, Illinois and Fairbury Speedway in Fairbury, Illinois. On Friday
night at Granite City, Gordy ran sixth in his heat race and seventh
in his B-Main before utilizing a series provisional and finishing
twentieth in the final rundown of the 40-lap feature. At FALS on
Saturday evening, Gordy unfortunately experienced terminal mechanical
problems early in the night and was forced to scratch from the program.

Gundaker Nabs Top Five at Callaway;
Sees Rain at Springfield
(June
9, 2024) Following
a weekend off due to inclement weather, the Gordy Gundaker Racing
(GGR) team was set to follow the Lucas Oil MLRA Series to a pair
of Show-Me State ovals over the June 7-8 weekend. On Friday night
at Callaway Raceway in Fulton, Missouri, Gordy Gundaker clicked
off the quickest lap in Group A during the qualifying session prior
to running second in his heat race. After starting the 30-lap feature
from the inside of the third row, Gordy wound up fifth in the caution-free
affair behind only $5,000 victor Dillon McCowan, Earl Pearson, Jr.,
Chris Simpson, and Derrick Stewart!
Saturday's stop at Springfield Raceway in Springfield,
Missouri for a similar $5,000 to win program was unfortunately washed
out. Gordy currently finds himself third in the latest version of
the heated Lucas Oil MLRA Series point standings. Complete results

Gordy Gundaker Posts Pair of Top Tens
in Show-Me 100 Weekend

Day weekend took the Gordy Gundaker Racing (GGR) team to the pristine
Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Missouri from May 23-25 for the
32nd Annual 'Show-Me 100.' The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series
and the Lucas Oil MLRA Series co-sanctioned the crown jewel extravaganza,
which started with a pair of $10,000 to win preliminary shootouts.
On Thursday night in the opener, Gordy Gundaker placed fifth in
his heat race and second in his B-Main prior to passing twelve competitors
during the 45-lap 'Cowboy Classic' en route to a solid tenth place
showing. In a similar show on Friday evening, Gordy ran fourth in
his heat race, won his B-Main, and later wound up fifteenth in the
final rundown of the 40-lapper.
On Saturday in front of a standing-room-only crowd, the 63 competitors
on hand in the Show-Me State had their sights set on the whopping
$50,000 first place prize. By virtue of his points during the pair
of preliminary programs, Gordy earned the rights to the outside
of the fifth row in the headliner, which was cut short to only 80
circuits do to impending weather. The St. Charles, Missouri ace
moved forward early in the race to battle inside of the top five
before settling for an impressive eighth place effort in the 'Show-Me

Gundaker and his #11 team invaded Highland Speedway in Highland,
Illinois on Saturday evening, May 18. The MARS Late Model Championship
tour rolled into town and a $5,000 winner's check was up for grabs
at the 1/4-mile oval. Gordy posted the tenth quickest time in Group
B during qualifying prior to grabbing the fourth transfer spot through
his heat race. After starting sixteenth on the grid in the 40-lap
main event, the St. Charles, Missouri ace was up to fourth and looking
for more when he slowed with issues on lap 23. Unfortunately, Gordy
was dropped to a fourteenth place performance last night at Highland

FALS Spring Shootout

12, 2024) Gordy
Gundaker Racing was in action with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt
Series over the May 10-11 weekend in the Land of Lincoln. On Friday
night, the annual running of the 'Farmer City 74' drew 55 entrants
to Farmer City Raceway in Farmer City, Illinois to vie for the $25,000
first place prize. Gordy Gundaker unfortunately missed out on the
74-lap headliner after finishing seventh in both his heat race and
his B-Main.
At Fairbury Speedway in downtown Fairbury, Illinois on Saturday
evening, a whopping $30,000 payday was up for grabs in the 'FALS
Spring Shootout.' With 47 competitors on hand at FALS, Gordy placed
fifth in his loaded heat race prior to securing a victory in his
B-Main. The St. Charles, Missouri ace then worked his way past a
handful of competitors during the 60-lapper en route to a steady

Oil MLRA at Quincy!

6, 2024) The
lone event over the weekend for the Gordy Gundaker Racing (GGR)
team was a visit to Adams County Speedway in Quincy, Illinois on
Sunday night, May 5. The Lucas Oil MLRA Series presided over a $5,000
to win shootout that drew 30 entrants to the western Illinois bullring.
Gordy Gundaker laid down the third quickest lap in Group B during
the qualifying session before running second in his heat race. After
starting the 40-lap feature from the outside of the third row, Gordy
was able to steer past a trio of competitors to land on the podium
in third behind only victor Tyler Erb and runner-up Earl Pearson,
