Gundaker Battles World of Outlaws
Foes in Illini 100 Weekend
3, 2017) Gordy Gundaker and his #11 team
rolled into Farmer City Raceway in Farmer City, Illinois on April
1-2 for the annual running of the 'Illini 100,' which was once again
sanctioned by the World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series.
The doubleheader actually started on Saturday evening due to inclement
weather and a $15,000 winner's check was on the line in the weekend
opener. Gordy unfortunately narrowly missed out on transferring
into the 75-lap headliner after running fifth in his heat race and
fourth in his B-Main.
Things then wrapped up at the 1/4-mile bullring in the Land of
Lincoln on Sunday afternoon with a $6,000 to win shootout, which
was initially scheduled for Friday night before heavy rain hit the
area. Gordy finished fifth in his loaded heat race once again, but
later grabbed the third and final transfer spot through his consolation
race. After starting the 25-lap sprint from the outside of the eleventh
row, the St. Charles, Missouri native drove past seven competitors
en route to a respectable fifteenth place showing. Complete results
from both of these lucrative races can be accessed online at www.woolms.com.

action on March 3-4 in the annual 'Tuckasee Toilet Bowl Classic'

in the final rundown of the 30-lap main event.
In the 'Tuckasee Toilet Bowl Classic' finale on Saturday evening
at Clarksville Speedway, a $5,000 top prize was on the line for
the MARS competitors. Gordy clicked off the fifth fastest lap in
Group A during time trials and later grabbed the second transfer
spot through his heat race. After rolling off from the inside of
the third row in the 40-lap headliner, the St. Charles, Missouri
ace was a fixture inside of the top five throughout the distance

his night by posting the fifteenth quickest lap in Group B during

in his B-Main. Gordy then advanced up to second in the Strawberry
Dash, but was unfortunately not able to crack the starting field
for the 50-lapper, which was eventually won by Scott Bloomquist.

Bay Raceway Park in Gibsonton, Florida, as a $7,000 top prize was
on the line for the cars and stars of the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt
Series. Gordy Gundaker qualified sixteenth fastest in Group B during
time trials before running eighth in his heat race and seventh in
his B-Main. Despite getting his car better the entire time he has
been in the Tampa-area, Gordy was unfortunately forced to watch
the 45-lap main event, which was won by Tim McCreadie.
(February 15, 2017) Tonight's
$7,000 to win Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series battle at East Bay
Raceway Park in Gibsonton, Florida has succumbed to Mother Nature
and will not be rescheduled. Heavy afternoon rains deluged the Tampa-area
and the track was not able to be worked into shape to host racing
action this evening.
(February 14, 2017) Another
$5,000 windfall greeted the competitors in round two of the Lucas
Oil Late Model Dirt Series portion of the 'Winternationals' tonight
at East Bay (FL) Raceway Park. Gordy Gundaker knocked down the nineteenth
fastest time in Group B during the qualifying session prior to running
eighth in his heat race and fifth in his B-Main. Unfortunately,

check was up for grabs. Making his first-ever appearance at the
Tampa-area oval, Gordy Gundaker finished ninth in his heat race
and eighth in his B-Main before eventually placing fourth in the
Strawberry Dash for non-qualifiers. Gordy was unfortunately unable
to crack the starting grid for the 25-lap sprint, which was eventually

Gordy Gundaker Eleventh
in Inaugural Running of Gateway Dirt Nationals
18, 2016) Gordy Gundaker and the GGR Motorsports
team wrapped up their version of the 2016 racing season on December
15-17 in the inaugural running of the 'Gateway Dirt Nationals' inside
of The Dome at America's Center in downtown St. Louis, Missouri.
A 1/5-mile dirt bullring was constructed (a project led by Kevin
Gundaker) inside of the spacious dome and a large crowd was on hand
to witness the historic weekend of indoor action. Things kicked
off for the Super Late Models on Thursday night with two rounds
of qualifying and Gordy was able to lay claim to the 31st quickest
lap of the 97 competitors in attendance.
On Friday evening, Gordy ran fifth in his loaded heat
race prior to placing eighth in his B-Main. Unfortunately, only
the top six finishers from each consolation event transferred into
the $5,000 to win weekend opener, which turned out to be a thriller
won by Shannon Babb. In St. Louis on Saturday, Gordy earned a seventh
place effort in his B-Main with only the top six advancing automatically
into the $20,000 to win weekend headliner. After receiving a provisional
to start the 40-lapper from the inside of the eleventh row, the
St. Charles, Missouri ace was able to improve ten positions during
the attrition-filled race to garner a solid eleventh place showing.
